Maama Kirunga Foundation Ministries (MKFM) was birthed as a result of its Founder’s passion for women, girl and children. Immaculate Atwine Akiza (MRS) is the fourth Born out of Five Children that were raised by a single mother. Having grown up organically through different hands of multiple families, in the hills and valleys of Ntungamo district. This district full milk and honey is about 290km by road from Kampala, Uganda’s Capital city. Ntungamo is found in South Western Uganda, East Africa on African continent. Immy / Macu, as the Majority of the people call me, grew up through the thin and thick. Actually, when I look back, it has been God’s Grace from day one, EBENEZER!
We Are Non Profit Organization
This umbrella Non-Governmental Organization, caters for a girl child, young mothers (18 years and below), single disadvantaged mothers (19years and above), orphans, Vulnerable groups such as People with Disabilities (PWDs), Church community groups, village community groups such as Boda Bodas (Motor cycle / bicycle) Commercial riders, stay home mothers, Ghetto communities, market women, schools, and every societal individual that would be interested in learning a thing or two from MKFM. This is done by organising these individuals into their respective clusters and training them different life skills of their choice.
MKFM organization’s existence was as a result of closing the missing gaps among different communities by training them a skill or two where they could earn a living for betterment of their lives.
Because of the MKFM Founder’s Inefable love for women and girls, Deep Green Business Solutions Limited (DGBSL) was born as commercial arm from which proceeds go directly to support the MKFM activities.
Legal Status
Maama Kirunga Foundation is an organisation that is intending to be registered with the Registrar of Companies under the Uganda Registration Services Bureal (URSB) & Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. It looks at being a voluntary, registered non-governmental organisation that supports single mothers , orphaned children and other vulnerable groups to attain skills that will enable them earn a living in their communities and the country at large.
Location
Maama Kirunga Foundation Ministries is located 8 kilometres from the city centre of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city in Kitambuza Zone, Kanyanya Parish, Kawempe north Division, Kampala District, East Africa on the African Continent. This location also serves as the selling point of the Deep Green business solutions Limited Products, the first of its kind in Uganda.
Administration
The Foundation is made up of Facilitated volunteers comprising of all the support team to the Foundation, the Managing Director, and its shareholders.
The Volunteers
The organization comprises of five support team: The Managing Director, the Assistant Managing Director, Packing personnel, Delivery Personnel, and the milling personnel. Individuals can serve at a voluntary basis as they acquire more extra skills from the Foundation. Maama Kirunga’s support team performs a great service delivery role in ensuring that the supply chain is complete.
Sub-Committees
To enhance participation of members in the Foundation activities, support committees have been set up including: Finance and Fundraising,Training, Welfare, Publicity, Disciplinary. These help in enforcing the day-to-day performance of the Foundation enhancing success and growth.
Secretariat
Maama Kirunga Foundation holds a Secretariat which coordinates majorly implementing activities of the organization. It is headed by a full time Managing Director who works with volunteering staff qualified in their specialties.
Who We Are
We are a NOT-FOR-PROFIT organization that helps to support the marginalized groups of people mainly focusing on the single mothers, orphans, children and other vulnerable groups.
Full membership to Maama Kirunga Foundation is only accorded to all its target beneficiaries who have the same interests, values and objectives as the organization. Individuals can be co-opted to offer relevant expertise to the Foundation.

Funding
Maama Kirunga Foundation is a non-profit making organization which will rely on the goodwill financial donations and membership subscriptions of its members, partners and other stakeholders. In addition Maama Kirunga Foundation to raise funds has got a business through which the selling of products and services to its customers are done.

Financial Management & Audit
Financial discipline is at the core of our work. This is assured through regular supervision and reports. Monitoring and evaluation of our products in accordance to the operating standards of the country. Looks at opening an organization account separate from other individual accounts. Looks at conducting Quarterly, half or annual audits for the organization in fulfillment to the operating standards of the country. Annual audits, however, are a must. Professional firms will be contracted by Maama Kirunga for financial reporting support.
